This is Debian/GNU Linux's prepackaged version of Marc Zyngier's md
driver utilities.

This package was originally put together by Ian Jackson
<ijackson@gnu.ai.mit.edu>, from Marc's sources, which I obtained from
sweet-smoke.ufr-info-p7.ibp.fr in /pub/Linux/md034.tar.gz. It
was named mdutils at that time. The changes were very minimal
- merely adding support for the Debian package maintenance scheme,
by adding various debian.* files.

This version (0.35) is an interim release, put together by Martin
Schulze <joey@debian.org>. Well the interim release made me the
new maintainer.

There is a mailing list for RAID: linux-raid@vger.rutgers.edu. Send
a message to Majordomo@vger.rutgers.edu with a line in the body of
the form "subscribe linux-raid", you can optionally add your email
address to the line if that is not the same as your return email
path. The subject line will be ignored.

There's also a mini-HOWTO concerning RAID and the like.

The HOWTO has been fetched from:
