.IX Title "RAZOR.CONF 1"
.TH RAZOR.CONF 1 "2002-02-23" "perl v5.6.1" "User Contributed Perl Documentation"
.UC
.SH "NAME"
razor.conf \- Configuration file for Razor Agents
.SH "DESCRIPTION"
.IX Header "DESCRIPTION"
\&\f(CW\*(C`razor.conf\*(C'\fR is a configuration file read by \f(CW\*(C`razor\-report\*(C'\fR,
\&\f(CW\*(C`razor\-check\*(C'\fR and \f(CW\*(C`razor\-discover\*(C'\fR. The format is \*(L"attribute =
value\*(R" pairs, one pair per line. Lines that begin with `#' are treated
as comments.
.SH "ATTRIBUTES"
.IX Header "ATTRIBUTES"
Following attributes can be specified:
.IP "razorzone" 4
.IX Item "razorzone"
Razor agents belong in a Razor Zone and they talk to one of the several
servers in their zone. The default zone is \f(CW\*(C`razor.vipul.net\*(C'\fR. You can
specify an alternate zone against this attribute. eg. razorzone =
razor.bar.com
.IP "listfile" 4
.IX Item "listfile"
Razor agents keep a list of available servers in their zone on a disk
file. This file is updated after the closest server discovery protocol,
which happens every 2 days. By default, the location of this file is
\&\f(CW\*(C`~/.razor.lst\*(C'\fR. You can specify an alternate path here.
.IP "debug" 4
.IX Item "debug"
Prints helpful debug/progress information.
.IP "rediscovery_wait" 4
.IX Item "rediscovery_wait"
By default, razor-clients discover the closest host in their zone using a
discovery protocol every 2 days. You can change this interval by
specifying a new interval (in seconds) against the \f(CW\*(C`rediscovery_wait\*(C'\fR
attribute.
.IP "turn_off_discovery" 4
.IX Item "turn_off_discovery"
Turns off closest host discovery.
.IP "whitelist" 4
.IX Item "whitelist"
Razor agents (v1.17+) can consult a whitelist of addresses and \s-1SHA1\s0
hashes before checking a mail with Razor Daemon. If the address/hash is
found on the whitelist, the mail is marked \*(L"not spam\*(R", without checking
against the server. The format of the whitelist can be found in
\&\fIrazor\-whitelist\fR\|(5) manpage.
.IP "turn_off_ignorelist" 4
.IX Item "turn_off_ignorelist"
Razor agents (v1.20+) automatically ignore mailing list posts. This
feature can be turned off by setting \f(CW\*(C`turn_off_ignorelist\*(C'\fR attribute.
