Installing resmgr
=================
1. Build and install
To build and install resmgr, type "make; make install".
Sorry, there's no autoconf support for resmgr at the moment.
2. Configure resmgr
Edit /etc/resmgr.conf and make it suit your needs. The default
file will put various audio, CD and USB scanner devices into
the resource class "desktop".
3. Start resmgr at boot time
To start the resource manager at boot time, copy etc/rcresmgr to
/etc/rc.d (or wherever you keep your init scripts), and create
the appropriate symlinks.
4. Enabling PAM support
Finally, add pam_resmgr to your desktop's PAM file. For instance,
add the following as the last line of /etc/pam.d/kdm to create
a resmgr session for every user logging in through kdm, and give
them access to the "desktop" resource class:
session required pam_resmgr.so grant=desktop
5. RTFM
resmgr comes with a few manpages - be sure to read them:
resmgrd(8)
resmgr(conf(5)
pam_resmgr(8)
resmgr(1)
resmgr(3)
