rng-tools (5migrate1) unstable; urgency=low

This package migrates your system to rng-tools-debian. The old
configuration is copied from /etc/default/rng-tools (with the
new comments added) to /etc/default/rng-tools-debian unless it
previously was unchanged from the default or empty. If upgrading
in unstable, from rng-tools 5-1, and an incompatible option was
used, /etc/default/rng-tools.dpkg-bak preserves the old config,
  it will not be migratied.

All other conffiles will be removed if unmodified or empty:
  • /etc/init.d/rng-tools
  • /etc/logcheck/ignore.d.server/rng-tools
  • /etc/logcheck/violations.ignore.d/rng-tools
Otherwise, they are renamed with .dpkg-bak appended, so manual
merging with the corresponding rng-tools-debian files can be
  achieved by the local admin.

Once migrated, this package can be removed, which will purge the
  old conffiles as well.

Please consider switching to rng-tools5 if that version meets
  your use case.
