Including the New Drivers Onto the Source Tree</A>
</H2>
Once a new driver have been developed, it must be included into the
source tree for it to be compiled into the code. This involves four steps:
<P>
<OL>
<LI>place driver into the appropriate directory under the <TT>rt_tasks</TT> directory in the source tree. That is, place the new driver under the <TT>rt_tasks/ad_cards</TT> and <TT>rt_tasks/da_cards</TT> directories for ADC or DAC drivers, respectively.
</LI>
<LI>edit the <TT>Makefile.am</TT> file in the appropriate subdirectory (<TT>rt_tasks/ad_cards</TT> or <TT>rt_tasks/da_cards</TT>) by changing the ``SOURCES'' entry to the name of your newly written driver
</LI>
<LI>return to the top level of the rtic directory and type: <TT>make clean</TT>,
</LI>
<LI>compile and install rtic by typing: <TT>make install</TT>
</LI>
