Installing the Software from the Web</A>
</H2>
<P>
If you do not have the <I>RTLinux 3.0 CD</I> distribution, you need to download two
pieces of software: the latest Real Time Linux executive and the Real
Time Controls Laboratory.
<P>
As of the time of this writing, all of the Real Time Controls
Laboratory software can be downloaded from
<A NAME="tex2html29"
HREF="http://rtic-lab.sourceforge.net"><TT>http://rtic-lab.sourceforge.net</TT></A>
although this will be
updated to
<A NAME="tex2html30"
HREF="http://rtic-lab.org"><TT>http://rtic-lab.org</TT></A>
shortly. The README file that accompanies the distribution should
also give you information which RTLinux kernel this version of
RTiC-Lab will run on. Be sure to download the RTLinux source that
best matches your version of RTiC-Lab.

Follow the instructions during the installation process of Real Time
Linux. The installation of RTLinux is well documented in itself, so it
will not be addressed further in this document.

The RTiC-Lab source tree can be decompressed by typing:
<P><BLOCKQUOTE><TT>tar xvfz rtic-*.*.*.tgz
</TT>
</BLOCKQUOTE>
<P>
this will both decompress and untar the source files and
will create a directory ``rtic-*.*.*''.
<P>
Go to the rtic source tree by typing:

</TT>
