.SH NAME
xstringl - computes bounding box of the display of matrix of strings
.SH CALLING SEQUENCE
.nf
[rect]=xstringl(x,y,str)
.fi
.SH PARAMETERS
.TP 15
x,y
: real scalars (point coordinates)
.TP
str
: matrix of strings
.TP
rect
: vector of 4 real scalars (rectangle def \fV[x,y,w,h]\fR)
.SH DESCRIPTION
returns in \fVrect=[x,y,w,h]\fR ( upper-left point, width, height)
the size of a rectangle in the current graphic scale. which if drawn
would surround the string \fVstr\fR drawn at location \fVx,y\fR.
.SH REMARK
The result can be approximative under the Postscript driver
.SH EXAMPLE
.nf
plot2d([0;1],[0;1])
rect=xstringl(0.5,0.5,["Scilab","is" ; "not","balicS"])
.fi
