.SH DESCRIPTION
By default Metanet windows work with Scilab in asynchronous mode, ie Scilab
proceeds without waiting for graphics commands sent to Metanet window to
terminate: these commands are \fVshow_graph\fR, \fVshow_arcs\fR and
\fVshow_nodes\fR. This mode is the most efficient. But when running a lots of
such graphical commands, problems can arise.

\fVmetanet_sync(0)\fR changes to asynchronous mode (default).

\fVmetanet_sync(1)\fR changes to synchronous mode.

\fVmetanet_sync()\fR returns the current mode (0 = asynchronous,
1 = synchronous).
