CALLING SEQUENCE

PARAMETERS
 x          : real or complex  scalar or vector
            
DESCRIPTION
    sqrt(x) is the vector of the square root of the x elements.  Result is
  complex if x is negative.
  
EXAMPLE
 sqrt([2,4])
 sqrt(-1)
