.SH NAME
pinv - pseudoinverse
.SH CALLING SEQUENCE
.nf
pinv(A,[tol])
.fi
.SH PARAMETERS
.TP
A
: real or complex matrix
.TP
tol
: real number
.SH DESCRIPTION
.Vb X = pinv(A)
produces a matrix \fVX\fR of the same dimensions as \fVA'\fR such that:
.LP
\fVA*X*A = A, X*A*X = X\fR and both
\fVA*X\fR and \fVX*A\fR are Hermitian .
.LP
The computation is based on SVD and any singular values
lower than a tolerance are treated as zero: this tolerance
is accessed by \fVX=pinv(A,tol)\fR.
.SH EXAMPLE
.nf
A=rand(5,2)*rand(2,4);
norm(A*pinv(A)*A-A,1)
