<title>Descrio</title>
<para>Funo utilitria para definir as variveis "mais antigas" como
"protegidas". Variveis protegidas no podem ser cancelada. Elas no so
salvas pelo comando <literal>'save'</literal> . As variveis "mais
antigas" so aquelas que aparecem por ltimo em
<literal>who('get')</literal>.</para>
<para><literal>predef()</literal> retorna o nmero de variveis
protegidas.</para>
<para><literal>predef('a[ll]')</literal> ajusta todas as variveis como
protegidas, tambm retorna o nmero antigo e o novo de variveis
protegidas.</para>
<para><literal>predef('c[lear]')</literal> desprotege todas as variveis,
exceto as 7 ltimas e tambm retorna o nmero antigo e o novo de variveis
protegidas.</para>
<para><literal>predef(n) </literal>ajusta as <literal>max(n,7)</literal>
ltimas variveis definidas como protegidas, tambm retorna o nmero
antigo e o novo de variveis protegidas. </para>

<para>Um nmero de variveis protegidas est configurado no arquivo de
"start-up" (inicializao) <literal>SCI/etc/scilab.start</literal>. O
usurio pode, em particular, configurar suas prprias variveis
predefinidas nos arquivos de inicializao do usurio
<literal>SCIHOME/.scilab</literal> e
<literal>SCIHOME/scilab.ini</literal></para>
