ser2net (4.3.2-1) unstable; urgency=medium

ser2net > 4 has a new configuration file concept in YAML. It still can
read the old configuration format. The package delivers a YAML
configuration file, which will reset the configuration to package defaults.

You can point CONFFILE back to /etc/ser2net.conf in /etc/default/ser2net
to get your old configuration back until you have found the time to
  convert your configuration to YAML.

The ability to read old-format configuration files will go away
at some time in the future.

After converting your configuration to YAML, ser2net.conf can be removed.
