# $Id: README,v 1.3 2003/07/18 10:58:10 redhead Exp $

Installation for RPM based systems:
Use rpm -tb <the tar.gz file> to build a binary RPM for Sigit.
Use rpm -i or your favourite tool to install.

Installation without RPM:
1. ./configure --installroot=/your/prefered/root
   or just ./configure, use --help on how to use it
2. make && make install

Additional hints:

1. On BSD/HP-UX/OSF1 systems use gmake.

Limitations:
It seems to be using less memory than fetchmail, so if you're not
intimidated by running fetchmail, then this won't harm(tm) your machine.

If you find a bug or problem, please send an email describing the bug to:
<kn@redhead.dk> with information on:
     * A subject containing the word 'Sigit'
     * What Sigit version.
     * What system you're running.
     * What mail/news program you were using when the bug appeared.
     * A description on what you tried, when the bug accured.
     * A debug/verbose output of the bug. (if one can be made)
