<TT>mmin</TT> and <TT>mmax</TT> are the values in <TT>M</TT> that correspond to 0.0 and 1.0 in the output image.

When <TT>[mmin, mmax]</TT> is not specified, <TT>minimum</TT> and <TT>maximum</TT> of <TT>M</TT> are the values in <TT>M</TT> that correspond to 0.0 and 1.0 in the output image.
