There are 2 problems with dns lookups.

1.  Following constellation:

/etc/resolv.conf with
search another.address.com

* MX Record on address.com in nameserver

so mails to another.host.com
go to another.host.com.address.com :-(

I have to define OBSOLETE_RESOLVER.
so no /etc/resolv.conf plays wrong ...


2. /etc/hosts 

IMHO the MUA is responsible for resolving short forms of local host names.
