For the return value and each parameter in the procedure, the application calls <B>SQLBindParameter</B> to specify the ODBC C data type and the SQL data type of the parameter and to specify the storage location and length of the parameter. The application assigns data values to the storage locations for each parameter and calls <B>SQLExecDirect</B> to execute the procedure. If <B>SQLExecDirect</B> returns SQL_SUCCESS or SQL_SUCCESS_WITH_INFO, the return value and the value of each output or input/output parameter is automatically put into the storage location defined for the parameter in <B>SQLBindParameter</B>.
