As of v.0.2.2, the Makefile should actually work!
How to compile and/or install sted:
To compile type:
To install type:
This will install the binary in /usr/local/bin and the man page in
/usr/local/man/man1. If you want to have them somewhere else, edit
the makefile, or just copy the binary and the man page to where you
want them. Or invoke make like this: make install prefix=/usr/local2
You'll have to be root to install the files, as I suppose
you don't have write access to /usr/local, as a normal user.
To remove object files and the binary type:
To compile for debugging.
To make statically linked binary.
You must have gnu make and gcc. If you have some other compiler, edit
the makefile. You'll also need to have ncurses installed.
If you have trouble compiling and/or installing (you'll probably have
trouble installing if you can't compile...), report it to me. My
e-mail address is: firstname.lastname@example.org .

You should have POSIX compatable libc with wchar functions, nl_langinfo(),
POSIX regexp. glibc2/libc6 would suffice.
