The Bow Device

The bow device provides the user with a model of the interaction
between a bow and an instrument. It works by mathematically modelling the
static and dynamical frictional forces which occur between the bow and the
instrument. Each bow device has the following user accessible
attributes:

velocity

- the current velocity of the bow.

force

- the downward force applied to the bow.

The bowing model used in this device is based loosely upon a model
developed by Woodhouse.
