Mpsproof.tex is based on mproof.tex which is used to make
proofs of MetaPost figures. One issues the command
(pdf)tex mpsproof pic.1 pic.2 ...
and the resulting dvi (or pdf) file contains the pictures and
other information. It improves mproof.tex in the following ways
(points 2 and 3 are new with this release):
1. Either pdftex or tex+dvips may be used.
2. Filenames may contain underscores.
3. It allows the syntax:
tex \noheaders pic.1
and all added text is omitted (allowing dvips -E to create an
eps file containing just the figure).
