Assuming a working apache server and php and a directory structure like
<top dir for teTeX share>

available through the web server and the file system.
0. Remove texdoc.php, sections.php, items.php, teTeXsmall.png, texdocfooter.php
and the directory tdphp from $TEXMFDIST/doc or $TEXMFLOCAL/doc as
appropriate.
1. Move texdoc.php and the directory tdphp to $TEXMFDIST/doc or $TEXMFLOCAL/doc as appropriate.
2. If problems arise check $TEXMFDIST/doc/tdphp/config.php and
$TEXMFLOCAL/doc/tdphp/config.php. The latter redefines the configuration
(provided $TEXMFDIST/doc/tdphp/config.php has not been changed).
3. Add extra local entries for texdoc, texdoctk and texdoc.php in
$TEXMFLOCAL/texdoctk/texdoctk-local.dat
If you got texdoc.php with teTeX 3 then items 0 and 1 above do not concern you.
Eventual new versions for texdoc.php should be available from
http://lcr.math.ist.utl.pt/texdoc-php/
but normally you should only be concerned with the version bundled with teTeX.
