In former versions of {\KOMAScript} the package \Package{addrconv} was
a permanent part of the {\KOMAScript} system. The chief involvement
with {\KOMAScript} was that with the help of \Package{addrconv} it was
possible from an address database in {\BibTeX} format to create
address files compatible with the {\KOMAScript} letter class or with
the package \Package{scraddr}.

From entries such as that given above, address files can be generated.
For this \Package{addrconv} employs {\BibTeX} and various {\BibTeX}
styles. Additionally, there are some {\LaTeX} files which can help to
create various telephone and address lists for printing.
However, the package \Package{addrconv} was actually an independent
package, since besides what is required for {\KOMAScript} it includes
several more interesting features. Therefore, the package
\Package{addrconv} has for some time already been removed from the
{\KOMAScript} system. The package \Package{adrconv}, with a single
\emph{d}, entirely replaces \Package{addrconv}. If it is not included
in your {\TeX} distribution then it can be downloaded from
\cite{package:adrconv} and you can install it separately.
