The `<hatch>` CSS type represents a character used in the [hatch](../styles/hatch.md) rule.
## Syntax
| Value | Description |

| `cross` | A diagonal crossed line. |
| `horizontal` | A horizontal line. |
| `left` | A left leaning diagonal line. |
| `right` | A right leaning diagonal line. |
