FAQ for TkCDLayout

0 - Introduction
This FAQ covers only TroubleShooting. The commonly asked questions about
what is TkCdLayout are located in the 'README' file.
Any issue not raised in this FAQ should be addressed to David.Faure@insa-lyon.fr
1 - Why do I get the error "exec: tixwish4.1.8.0: not found" ?
To use TkCDLayout, you need tixwish 4.1.8.0, which is part of the tix package,
a Tcl/Tk add-on. Find either tix-4.1.0.5-12.i386.rpm or tcltk-8.0.tgz
2 - Why do I get an error in my terminal when I press "Show Layout" ?
In order to use TkCDLayout, you must have, on your system :
* latex, the text formatting program (package 'tetex')
* dvips, in order to transform the dvi file, output of latex, to a ps file
* ghostview ('gv') to see the result, and eventually print it.
If you have everything and it still doesn't work, check that latex works
on your system, by running latex on any latex file
3 - Does the latex file really file the package 't1enc' ? I don't have it !
You only need this package if you want to use 8-bit chars (such as accents)
in your title/subtitle. Otherwise, you can remove the line \usepackage{t1enc}
from the files CD.latex.begin.*
However, the package 'graphics' IS required.
4 - Why is there a problem with the paper size ?
TkCdLayout has currently been tested only in France. The latex files specify
the 'a4paper' format. To change this, edit the two files CD.latex.begin.*
and tell me what format should be set (but how to detect the country where
the program is running?). BTW, the inserts are much smaller than the paper, so
is the paper size really a problem ?
5 - The title/subtitle/line goes out of the insert
This might be a real bug. Please send me a bug report.
