TkDiff 2.03
-----------
NOTE: 2.03 is identical to 2.02, except that as of 2.03, tkdiff is now
under the GPL.
Features:
+ New user interface (as of 2.02).
+ RCS, CVS and SCCS support (auto-detected).
+ Highlighted difference regions, random access to them (and a
quick overview/navigation bar as of 2.02)
+ Side-by-side viewing and linked (synchronized) scrolling of files.
+ On-line help and customization.
+ File-merge and change-summary facilities.
+ Line-number toggling (for easier cut & paste).
+ Windows NT support.
...and more stuff I can't even remember, probably.
Much work has been done by Warren Jones and Peter Brandstrom (the new UI
is entirely Peter's work). In fact, I did none of the coding for this
release (or the last one; I see a theme here... :-)). Many thank, guys
-- tkdiff wouldn't be progressing without you!
Note to potential contributors... The code has been changed pretty
radically since the 1.x series of releases. Please submit patches
against this version (2.02) rather than any older versions. Thanks!
Keep an eye on the tkdiff home page:
http://www.ipass.net/~klassa/tkdiff
for developments...
The code is available at the NeoSoft archive:
ftp://www.neosoft.com/pub/tcl/sorted/text/tkdiff-2.02.tar.gz
or via the home page.
If you have problems, please send bug reports (better yet, patches against
2.02 :-)) to klassa@ipass.net.
