Tk-SETI@Home - Copyright (C) 1999-2000 by Rick Macdonald <rickm@vsl.com>.

TkSETI is a GUI front-end to the SETI@Home client for UNIX. It is
fully customizable with lots of cool features:

o can passively monitor an already running setiathome client.
o can start/stop/pause the setiathome client when TkSETI starts/exits.
o can manually run/kill/pause/continue the setiathome client.
o can automatically stop the client during certain hours on certain days.
o can run your dialup network start/stop scripts when the client needs to
   contact the server (even avoiding certain days and times).
o restarts the client if it dies unexpectedly.
o Linux only: can automatically run/kill/pause/continue the setiathome client
   based on system idleness by monitoring any devices such as keyboard, mouse,
   etc.
o  support for proxy servers.
o tracks your personal best scores for big Spikes and Gaussians, and
   optionally notifies you when new bigger ones are found.
o displays your statistics such as work units processed, total CPU time,
   progress of current work unit, largest Spike and Gaussian, client CPU
   usage, etc.
o SkyMap shows the location of all work units processed plus the location
   of your best spike and gaussian.
o fully configurable to run on any UNIX platform.
o lets you check the work statistics of your friends to see who is ahead.
o optionally notifies you when a new version of TkSETI is available.
o  on-line help file.

TkSETI requires Tcl/Tk version 8.0 or newer.

INSTALLATION
============

Just untar and put tkseti someplace in your path.

USAGE
=====

Usage: tkseti [--help] [user_setiathome_directory]
       user_setiathome_directory defaults to ~/setiathome

The --help option prints out verbose info and exits. The same help is
available when TkSETI is running.
