<p>The main philosophy of Tralics is to have the same parser as <TeX/>, but the
same semantics as <LaTeX/>. This means that commands like <hi rend='tt'>\chardef</hi>,
<hi rend='tt'>\catcode</hi>, <hi rend='tt'>\ifx</hi>, <hi rend='tt'>\expandafter</hi>, <hi rend='tt'>\csname</hi>, etc.,
that are not described in the <LaTeX/> book and not implemented in translators
like latex2html, tth, hva, etc., are recognised by Tralics. This year we
added constructions like <hi rend='tt'>\endlinechar</hi>, <hi rend='tt'>\read</hi>,
<hi rend='tt'>\uppercase</hi>, <hi rend='tt'>\endinput</hi>, which are less used, and a bit tricky.
Note that a construction like <hi rend='tt'>\ifdim\wd0&gt;<zws/>0pt\fi</hi> is recognised by the
parser, but there is no way to change the size of the box number zero, so that
the test is always false.</p>
