README for twlog

twlog is free software. Please see the file COPYING for details.

INSTALLING:

For building and installation instructions please see the INSTALL file.
BUT, after installing, you will want to follow the process below.

The "make install" will put a copy of the resource file (Twlog)
in X11's app-defaults directory (most likely in
/usr/X11R6/lib/X11/app-defaults) This is one of many places where
X looks for resource files. You will want to make changes to Twlog
to tailor it to your needs.

The easiest way is to edit the copy of Twlog just installed in
by "make install" But, you must be root to edit it!

   You can also:

copy Twlog to your home directory. -OR-

cat it to the end of your .Xdefaults file. -OR-

use XAPPLRESDIR and put a copy Twpsk to your resources directory.

See the X manual pages for more information

Now edit the new copy of Twlog (root is not needed). There are
comments (lines beginning with an !) in Twlog explaining the values.
After you change the values, restart the program to have them take effect.

You will want to modify the values Twlog.tzone, Twlog.bands,
Twlog.modes, and Twlog.power. These values will be the options that appear
in the menus. There are also resource that set the default values for mode,
band and power. See the comments in Twlog and twlogHelp for more information.

Maintainers can use:
   ./configure --bindir="path" --datarootdir="path"
   and
   make install DESTDIR="rootpath"
   to build their distribution trees.
