CODATA.map version 1.9
This file establishes a mapping between physical quantities
as expressed in two different worlds:
* GNU units expressions, based on entries in its definitions.units file
* CODATA data from https://physics.nist.gov/cuu/Constants/Table/allascii.txt
This is used by the codata-check script to facilitate the comparison
of corresponding values between GNU units and CODATA.
Format:
* An initial header, before the line of dashes, is commentary,
ignored by the codata-check script.
* Blank lines, and lines whose first non-blank character is '#', are ignored
(and hence are good for adding comments).
* There are two fields: the GNU expression and the CODATA quantity name;
these fields are separated by the leftmost sequence of two or more spaces.
* As a special exception, if the CODATA quantity name starts with a "*",
the rest of the name is actually interpreted as a second GNU expression;
the two exprssions will be checked for equivalence with each other.

# The *_SI pseudo-units are the numeric coefficient part of the named
# unit (i.e., the underlying quantity with the SI units stripped off).
# This is done to facilitate the support of non-SI unit systems within
# GNU units. All such units should be listed here, as a sanity check.
atomicmassunit_SI * atomicmassunit / (kg)
c_SI * c / (m / s)
e_SI * e / (C)

epsilon0_SI * epsilon0 / (F / m)

# Primary-ish values - ones which should be exact due to definition
# chains, independent of CODATA updates.

#
# defined by various CGPM declarations:
atm standard atmosphere
gravity standard acceleration of gravity
K_J90 conventional value of Josephson constant
R_K90 conventional value of von Klitzing constant
# derived values - for completeness
#
# The values for these *should* automatically be in alignment, once
# the primary values are adjusted to match CODATA. If all of the
# primary values (above) match, then any remaining discrepancy here
# needs to be explained. ("It's just a rounding error" is likely
# to be the ultimate explanation for most discrepancies, but don't
# assume that going in.)
#
# Note: the odd looking stray "1" in some expressions is a mechanism
# to inform codata-check that what otherwise looks like a simple value
# is in fact a derived value (inside of definitons.units).
# This first group consists of quantities which actually possess
# "exact" precision, but the relevant coefficient cannot be expressed
# with a finite decimal representation. So we fudge and say these are
# "derived" and hence subject to round-off errors.
