This is a patch for Babel 1.6 to allow it to read and write the Viewmol
format. To apply this patch just copy the files found in this directory
to the directory where you have the Babel 1.6 sources. Then build Babel
as described in the Babel documentation. The new Babel executable will
then understand a new option (both for reading and writing): viewmol.

This new Babel can be used as an input and output filter for Viewmol
by giving corresponding options in the viewmolrc file, e. g. to write
Mopac formatted outputs you would put the following line into your
viewmolrc file (substituting the correct path of course):
output Mopac /home/jrh/babel-1.6/babel -iviewmol - -omopcrt %s
