<h1>Placing, moving and editing components</h1>

To place or move components in the schematic window, you have to select the
arrow icon on the toolbar. Select the catogory of components from the combo
box on the toolbar. This will update the available components in the components
toolbar. Select one of the components, and click somewhere inside the schematic.
A new component will be placed on the schematic at the selected position.

To move a component, make sure that the arrow icon is selected. Click on the
component you want to move, and drag it on the schematic while keeping the left
mouse button pressed.

To move a block of components, click outside the area of any of the components,
hold the mouse button down and drag to select an area. All components inside the
area will be selected. To move the whole lot, press and hold the CTRL key, and
then click on one of the selected components and drag the mouse while keeping
the mouse button depressed. This will move all the selected components together.

To edit the attribute values of a component, double click on it. A window will
appear which will allow you to modify the component attributes. Remember that
all numerical values are scaled according to the dimensions defined in the
navigation window. Attribute values can also be a variable name. See the section
on <a href="variables.html">variables</a> for more information.
