ABOUT ViPEC:
------------

ViPEC is an network analyser for electrical networks. It takes a
description of an electrical network, and performs a simulation of the circuit
response in the frequency domain. Output is in the form of 2-port parameters,
and can be plotted on in a grid and Smithchart format. ViPEC supports various
lumped circuit elements, as well as elements like transmission lines and 2-port
data files.

ViPEC is now an open source application. Please read the LICENSE files for
details.

As of release 3.2.0 we are no longer able to compile ViPEC for Windows. We have
migrated ViPEC to version 3 of the Qt library, which is not free and for which
we have no license. If enough interest (in the form of financial backing) is shown
we will purchase the Qt 3 libraries (and other development tools) for Windows and
continue the Windows support.

If you make any changes to the source code that you think might be interesting
to other people, please send these updates back to us, so that we can include
them in our source as well. ViPEC will be maintained by us, and we will release
updates from time to time. Anyone contributing to the ViPEC project will be
mentioned in the documentation and About dialog box. If we forget to mention
anyone, please also feel free to contact us.

Any comments/suggestions about the code is also welcome. We are both electronic
engineers, and still not as experienced in the software field as we would like
to be.
