  <title>Decrypting Encrypted Images</title>

    <p>In some circumstances it might be required to decrypt previously encrypted images. This can be done in <ph
        conkeyref="vbox-conkeyref-phrases/vbox-mgr"/> for a complete VM or using <userinput>VBoxManage</userinput> with
      the following command: </p>
    <pre xml:space="preserve">VBoxManage encryptmedium <varname>uuid</varname>|<varname>filename</varname> --oldpassword <varname>file</varname>|-</pre>
    <p>The only required parameter is the password the image was encrypted with. The options are the same as for
      encrypting images. </p>
