Hello!
If you are reading this file, this means you are my kinda guy. You probably
have a DECstation, running Ultrix and you want to use XBanner to make it
look better. This is what I did on my own machine at work.
Prerequisites:
1. Install stock XDM from the Ultrix Unsupported distribution.
2. Make it work. E.g. edit /etc/ttys to reflect the fact the the old
Xprompter should not run, add a line to run XDM in /etc/rc.local,
and set up XDM's config files.
3. From there on, everything is pretty much the same as with any XBanner
setup, but you need large fonts. Contact me about this. I can supply
.BDF format fonts in quite large sizes. (Only ones that are freely
available, though).
