        SunOS 5.5
        Feedback on other systems is very welcome...

 Installation
--------------

If you have the Debian GNU/Linux .deb package, type:
dpkg -i <xchain debian package>

If you have the source code version:

$ gunzip <xchain .tar.gz or .tgz file>
$ tar xvf <.tar file>
$ cd xchain-1.0.1
  Edit the install.sh to suit. Most people can leave as is. If your system
  does not support gzipped man pages, comment out the gzip -9 xchain.6 line.
$ make
# make install            (as root)

If you have a binary .tar.gz or .gz:

$ gunzip <xchain .tar.gz or .tgz file>
$ tar xvf <.tar file>
$ cd chain-1.0.1
  Edit the install.sh to suit. Most people can leave as is. If your system
  does not support gzipped man pages, comment out the gzip -9 xchain.6 line.
# ./install               (as root)
