A longer, illustrated description of the XMPI 2.1 can be found at
http://www.osc.edu/Lam/lam/xmpi.html.

The matrix view doesn't seem to work yet.

This package may only compile with LAM installed.  It should *function*, however, 
with any MPI implementation which supports the XMPI API, as does LAM.
